Environmental Accessibility Adaptations
Breaking Mobility Barriers One Renovation at a Time.
We lead the way in Environmental Accessibility Adaptations, breaking mobility barriers for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are certified by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities to transform spaces, enabling independence and inclusivity, revolutionizing accessibility. Our tenured team of expert installers ensure that the work is done to the highest quality and in a timely fashion. Our goal is to empower lives with our specialized expertise and compassionate installation process.

In the state of Ohio, Medicaid provides up to $10,000 per individual for adaptations.
“When we first requested bids for building the fence, we pretty quickly, got in contact with Threshold after they reached out to our SSA. Within days of that first initial contact, Bo came to the house to meet us, meet our kids, and check out the property. We had moved in literally just days before, but we knew we needed to move pretty quickly with the project. Honestly, we were so lucky. We have two kids on the autism spectrum and Bo was willing to listen to why we needed the fence, the goals we had for the fence, and let us direct how we wanted it accomplished. We never once felt like we were being talked over or convinced to get something that wasn’t part of our goals. They were there through any frustrations that came along and brainstormed multiple ideas and layouts. Families with kids or adults with special needs already have extra hurdles lined up for them and the safety of our kids is our number one priority. Bo (and the whole team) put their safety at the forefront.
Even as the fence was being installed we were asked about each detail (which way the gate opened, etc)., and at no time did I feel like it was an inconvenience to change something simply because I knew something else would work better for my kids. We hosted our boys’ birthday party just days after install and the peace of mind that the fence provided during that was unmatched. But more importantly, on a daily basis, our kids can spend time outside safely. They can follow their sisters outside and do it safely. They both love to swing and relax in the hammock and as they get older, the fence is going to give them a sense of independence while keeping them safe. We honestly can’t thank Threshold enough for getting to know us, getting to know our kids, and understanding the whole picture of what we want to accomplish for our kids and their safety.”
