What happens when high school seniors from East Palestine High School get real-world experience supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities — before they even graduate? Check out this latest video from our partners at Lighthouse Cove to learn more. (You might even spot a cameo from one of Threshold staff members.)
Through DSP-U, facilitated by Lighthouse Cove, students complete 60 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of hands-on internship experience with I/DD providers. They leave with a nationally recognized credential, verified skills through the NADSP E-Badge Academy, and, for some, an alternative path to graduation.
