Our Columbiana County community continues to be supportive despite the challenges we have all faced since the train derailment in early February. Our clients loved being able to spend some time at Sundog Cider House and Winery at their Harry Potter Pop Up Bar for a private event held specifically for our Day Program.
“Our clients had a wonderful time at Sundog for their Hogwarts experience,” said Threshold Activities Coordinator, Sherree Zamary. “It was truly a magical day that brought smiles to our clients faces.”
Our residents enjoyed every aspect of the Hogwarts experience! The cider house was fully decorated with Hogwarts house banners, letters, dementors, and floating candles making everyone feel like they had truly entered into the Harry Potter school. Sundog went above and beyond to make sure every client was able to put on the sorting hat to determine which house they belonged to, which added extra magic to the visit. Each client also received a tie matching their newly determined house. They were also given the opportunity to have their “mugshot” taken at the notorious Harry Potter prison, Azkaban. Sundog also provided delicious (non-alcoholic) Butterbeer and Harry Potter themed drinks and food for refreshments.
“Sundog is a great partner to the community,” said Threshold Program Director Seth Walker. “We’re grateful to have so many supportive partners within the East Palestine community. Our clients truly enjoyed their unique Harry Potter excursion.”
